Natural stone, stainless steel, concrete, ceramic, wood and much, much more can be used to create a worktop. We at FLAM.E have the highest possible quality standards and our aim is always to find and implement the best possible solution for you!
The right material
For us as a brand-independent dealer of outdoor kitchens in Austria, the quality of our products is particularly important in addition to the large selection. Our portfolio contains only the highest quality materials suitable for outdoor use, which is why plastic and wood are not included, as these materials are not sufficiently weather, UV and weather resistant.
During a pre-arranged appointment at our showroom, we will be happy to present you with a wide range of options to meet your individual, aesthetic and practical requirements. The spectrum ranges from stainless steel, concrete and ceramic to fine natural stones such as granite, slate or marble and modern solid surface materials such as Corian or Hi-Macs. Arrange a consultation with our FLAM.E team and immerse yourself in the world of outdoor kitchens on our showroom floor.
The right worktop size
The worktop in your outdoor kitchen should not only meet your aesthetic expectations, but also be wind, weather and winter resistant. Outdoor kitchens, appliances and garden furniture are exposed to a wide variety of weather and environmental influences throughout the year. From the sun to moisture from rain or, in fall and winter, dew and frost. Depending on the composition and choice of materials, outdoor kitchens from FLAM.E are characterized by excellent weather, UV and weather resistance. We generally recommend a minimum width of 90 cm and a worktop depth of at least 60 cm so that you can cook without any problems. Less is definitely not more – on the contrary. Sufficient additional storage space should also always be planned in, for example to make it easy to arrange dishes.
The different materials
Every material has its own special properties, which is why our FLAM.E team always manages to find the best solution for you. A major advantage of natural stone, such as granite, but also slate or marble, is its resistance to heat, cutting and scratching. They are also generally unaffected by water. However, only materials such as granite, Dekton and ceramic can withstand temperatures of up to 600 degrees without being damaged. The smooth surface of the stone is also very easy to clean. Acrylic-bonded solid surface materials such as Corian, Hi-Macs or Staron are also extremely popular for outdoor kitchens. These are particularly impressive due to their silky surface and seamless finish. We use these materials to create beautiful and unique transitions across the entire outdoor kitchen. However, the solid surface materials are not as resistant to heat and scratches. A cutting board is therefore always recommended for cutting on a Corina or Hi-Macs worktop, which you can of course also purchase from FLAM.E. The material is very easy to clean, available in over 100 colors and can also be made translucent.
We will be happy to advise you.
Whichever worktop you decide on in the end – our FLAM.E team will advise you specifically and individually on the choice of material. We look forward to hearing from you.
